After all, your resume serves as your first impression when being viewed by the hiring manager in the Human Resources department. It could either make you stand out from the other applicants or, fail to create a favorable impression altogether and land in the garbage bin. You need to remember that any hiring manager work against time, and would only spend around 40 to 50 seconds in scanning your resume. Having some eye catching information written may very well land you on their short list.
Plug in your chosen salary and count your costs. Then ask yourself: can I really afford to pay that much for an average resume? Would I pay $6,000.00 or more for something that didnt do what it was supposed to do?
3. Content. For the Summary section, and under each job description, there are two basic rules for content. One is to make sure the information is relevant. One of the biggest mistakes I see is spending too much time describing the company, and not enough time describing what the employee did. Unless the client is the Founder or President of the company, any more than one line spent describing it is too much.
